tach problems

I have 1992 5.0 OMC cobra tach stays at zero with engine running. I need some help please on solving this problem.

Check the ground at the coil.Take it off and clean real good.This fixes it 90% of the time.O.K. maybe 89% but it does work most of the time.This is the most common problem.
