This weekend I had to replace the upper solenoid on my outdrive pump, as the outdrive wouldn't raise except by the trailer switch. This cured the trimming up problem, but now the tach has a mind of it own. The needle bounces around almost nonstop at any speed. Its a Merc 3.0 with Alpha 1 outdrive. And when I cut the boat off, it rests at 6000 rpm instead of 0. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
