We have the Yamaha tach that came with our alumacraft. We are about to sell the control box (as there is no motor) but are pondering keeping the tach. It has the oil pressure guage as well, but I have read somewhere that these will fit both 2 and 4 stroke yammies. Dad says that the inner workings of tachs are identical, so we could wire it to fit a johnnyrude. But, I thought these things were brand sensitive, and wouldn't be cross compatible. If it has the same general wiring, and different plugs, we can work around that easy, but if it is real different, we need to go ahead and get rid of it with the controls.
