Re: Tach Question
A standard tach with the setting knob in the back SHOULD work. You connect signal to one of the brown stop leads that come out from under the flywheel and set the knob in the back to 1 pulse. Should do! I ran my 20 like that. I ran my 55 with an OLD Aqua Meter tach with 4 terminals on the back this way until the tach crapped out and only read 1/2 of expected RPM.
BUT---electronics are not returnable. This is a case where you might be wise to do all the pre-wiring and buy from a dealer. Let him install it, that way if it doesn't work, you are not stuck with a useless (for you) tach.
Alternatively, spend a bit more and buy a tach from Franz marine.com with the understanding that it is the correct one and that it will work.
