Tach question

I have a 1971 Evinrude 50 hp I am fixing to put on an aluminum 1760 semi-V I am having built. I want to add a tach so I can try a few different props. I seen Cabela's has a tach clearanced for 19.99. But it says for 4-6-8 cylinder engines. This won't work for the two cylinder will it? What kind of tach do I need for the 2 cyl and who might have the best price on one?<br /><br /> Where would the wire hook to? Somewhere on the coil?
