Tach questions

I have a 1975 merc 50 horse. I'd like to install a tach. I have the plug in the old merccontrol, but I have an autometer auto tach. Would it be compatible from 2 to four stroke. and where would I wire. <br /> Thanks, <br /> Mike

Hi Mikey,<br /><br />I would have to say no with out seeing the tach. Unless there is a switch on the back of the tach that allows you to change it from<br />4 to 2 stroke and to an alternator driven type tach.<br /><br />...have fun...corm
