OK then,went and bought the tach(ebay),cut off the connector from the old tach,rather than cut and splice,I used butt connectors ,crimped on the old tach wires,as luck would have it,the female butt connector fit perfectly over the pins of the connector of the new tach,why did I do it,because if the new tach for some reason wasnt compatable,I could put it back to oroginal and not have a new tach(which was brand new ol stock off ebay)anyway,to answer my unreplied ? in hopes down the road it helps,yes,it works fine
