I recently had problems with my 130 hp Johnson (1995) I rebuilt this motor twice, and I would like to thank iboats forum for all the helpful advise you guys gave me.. I am now breaking in my new rebuild (re-sleeved cylinders). Which so far, has been going well. But, one thing I am having problems with, is my tachometer, which I replaced when I rebuilt the motor. On the first rebuild, I replaced the rectifier, and on the second rebuild, I replaced the tachometer. In the beginning, before I replaced the rectifier, the needle would bounce back and forth . since I replaced the tack, I may start the motor, and it will idle nicely just under 1000 rpm's , throttle forward and about 3000 rpm's she get's out of the hole and on a plane. Then all of the sudden she goes to 0. I slow down , and now in neutral, forward with the throttle and around 3000rpm's she kicks in again and tack starts acting right again. sometimes it feels like maybe it could be in the throttle. What do you think the possibilities are. If there is a connection to the throttle, and you unscrew the assembly around the throttle, and then exposed, do you have to be careful stuff in the becomes disattached. will it loosen so I can pull the throttle out so I can check the connections on the inside of the throttle stick. Thanks for the help. Jimmy
