Tachometer on Bayliner, AQ125 where does it hook?

My Tach is not working at all. What does a tach work from? Something on the distributor or coil? My boat has the electronic ignition conversion on an AQ125A, I wonder if whoever did that forgot to re hook the tach ?!?

Most of the Volvos have a grey wire on the neg post of the coil.
