Tachometer Wire Color

I have a 1973 Johnson 115 with 1996 wiring. Can anyone tell me what color the tachometer wire is and wher to attach it? I was told to attach it to the rectifier, but I don't know what color the wire is.

should be a grey wire,on your block will be a connection terminal strip,there will be 2 yellow wires from the stator,one should have a grey stripe,that is the connection point,if you dont see the grey stripe ,try one at a time til the tach works
