Tachometer

I have a 1976 Evenrude 115hp 4 cyl outboard. I want to get a tachometer for his motor but I dont know what will work with this motor.<br /><br />Is there a specific type or brand or do I look for the type of hook up it uses?<br /><br />What do I look for and what type of hook up do I need?<br /><br />Thank for the help.

you have a 12 pole alternator and you'll need a tach that can set at setting 6.<br />javsam

Walleyehed recommended to me to buy only OMC/BRP tachometers for Johnson/Evinrude motors. These can be difficult to find, but I eventually found a new tach on Ebay. Good luck.
