I am looking into purchasing a new 2010 Tahoe boat. It would be my first boat and I like the price tag for what I get. Also do not want some big boat that has a lot more features that I need. Looking at the Q5I. Any one have any comments on quality of the Tahoe line or advice about what to or what not to buy?

Where are ya at in Texas?

I've seen some really great deals on Crowlines in the Dallas area. Those are really nice boats that seem to hold their value well.

I've got a '08 Q6 and have loved every minute of it. I have a great dealer, and I think that's the most important part of buying a boat. The boat is just a piece of hardware, you have to have someone knowledgable to service it.

I've heard of problems with the Bass Pro stores as dealers, so look for a local dealership, and check their rep.

I am in Central TX, not far from Dallas. I am not really wanting a crownline or all the extras that come with that price.

They are entry level boats at an entry level price with entry level build quality. If this meets your needs and wants, go for it. The powerplants are all pretty much the same as other brands. However, I strongly agree with the above poster about buying at BassPro. I have heard some horror stories on here about warranty issues with them. If looking for an inexpensive new boat, I think I'd actually go with a Bayliner over a Tahoe.
