Take apart lower unit e-tec 60hp

Is there someone in here who could tell me how to get the shifting-rod loose frome the engine on a evinrude e-tec 60hp 2007 model????

How much need to be taken loose???

With the engine cover off, look carefully at the shift linkage down low at the front center of the engine. You will see the top of the shift rod and its attachment to the shift linkage. The shift rod gets disconnected there.
