Heat gun on a low setting or hair dryer and a plastic putty knife.

If they truly are pin stripe tape then the above answers your questions. If it is actually painted on, you will have to sand them off being carefully not to sand through. And yes you can repaint the stripes or buy pin stripes by the roll and reapply. Why are you removing them if you are wanting to put them back on? Are they damaged?

If the heat gun and knife doesn't work or is to slow for ya...this works and is pretty fast and WON'T harm the gelcoat.

well i used a heat gun at 500 degrees about 2-2 1/2 inches away from hull and was able to pull decals or pinstripe off boat took about 3 hours to do this ,where pinstripe was broken or not being there cost me a lot of time ,instead steady flow and pull in maybe 3 foot long strips, then wipe down decal crap or the edge that it left ,now should i compound ,then what ,want that shine back, whats my next step any suggestions ,i want to put pinstripe on top near window maybe a little thicker ,or would a better result to paint top a color stripe ,also would like to buy something that i can use for small little holes in side of boat have 1 hole about a pencil thickness in top part of hull want to fix

why compounding and polishing if you will reapply the strips again?! Lots of online marine stores, maybe iBoats.com as well but I am not sure, carry rolls of pin strips of different length, color and width.

I don't think they can be compounded and polished out. I believe the UV affects the exposed gel to the point of actually changing color. Those area were hidden under the strips with no UV exposure. To blind them, you actually need to blend the rest of the boat not them. I could be wrong though. Our expert on the subject is ondarvr, try to send him a PM and if he tell you any different opinion, take it and ignore anything I just said
