Re: taking a leak overboard

Lady Warden in this neck of the woods spies on ice shanties in the winter and tickets fishermen taking a wiz on the ice with littering citations. Not sure if she chips out some for evidence, but wouldn't doubt it.

Be safe. Just use the coonas* method: a length of PVC - 2" dia. OK - cut to the lenght necessary to clear whatever is necessary - then rinse PVC.
PLEASE: take care with the zipper - It smarts like HEL*.

Re: taking a leak overboard

This past summer I had taken a pretty good sized group of friends out on the Milwaukee River. We had docked and headed to a bar for a while, so when we're heading back to the ramp, of course someone needs to relieve themselves. Not the smartest thing to do, but one of my friends decided to take a leak while standing on the swim step while we're going at no-wake speed down the river. This is around 2:00am, so boat traffic was light and it was dark out. While he's busy, the girl sitting behind me points to the throttle lever and asks if that makes the boat go faster. Not thinking of the ramifications, I say yes. Well, she slams the throttle down. My friend does a nice dance trying to balance before he goes into the drink. The Milwaukee River is NOT where you want to go swimming, it's alot better than 10 years ago, but I'm still surprised he didn't get some strange disease. To make matters better, this happened right in front of a restaurant with outdoor seating on the river. Gave those people quite a little entertainment that night.

Re: taking a leak overboard

Sorry to keep this thread going but I'm new here and had to add this story.

I was on a fishing trip in Georgian Bay one September at rustic fishing lodge. Those September nights get very cold so when it came time for my buddy to relieve himself, he refused to walk to the outhouse. Instead, he cracked open the front door of the cabin and let loose without even stepping outside.

Next morning, we got up really early, before dawn. Got dressed and my buddy was first out the door with his hands full of gear. Guess what happened? Yep, he stepped on a patch of yellow ice, did a half-gainer and landed with a resounding crack. End of fishing trip. He took 12 stiches to the back of his head to go along with his concussion.
