taking the boat to get winterized

How quickly would the engine coolant freeze in a motor that has been sitting in 50 degrees? My boat sits in a garage that seldom ever gets below 50 degrees unless the garage door stands open. Since my boat is the only item in the garage, the door is seldom open.

This week I am running the boat over to the marina Tuesday to have it winterized. It is supposed to snow that morning, so I am going to wait a few more days as the weather is showing a slight warm-up in the 40s on Thursday.

The marina is about twenty minutes away. I thought about turning on the engine exhaust motor to get rid of any fumes and warming up the engine compartment with an enclosed shop light in case it stays cold.

Is this asking for trouble? I know that marina mechanics use the same kind of lights when they complete work. I have a light that is supposed to be explosion proof.
