the more axles you get the more you scrub tires on tight turns.... the more you have to pay for new tires the more chance you have of a flat or bad wheel bearing and the cooler you look rollin in to the ramp..... To me it's which ever you get the best deal on two 5200 lb axles two 6000 lb axles or 3 3500 lb axles would all be fine for your boat

Don't know that I can give you much in the line of "TECHNICAL" help, but I have a tri-axel box for the toys and what not and this thing does not like to go around corners. Eats up tires pretty fast too. Good puller on straight lines. Just some food for thought. Good luck with the new boat.

I'd opt for the tandem for the reasons already stated.

Ditto. Sidewalls take a beating, tread rubs off, front tires kick up road debris that gets stuck in rear tires that otherwise would still be lying on the road, not in one of your tires,

I like the idea of reducing the weight per tire, but not for the reasons above so larger, higher ply tires solves the problem.

I like the 2x 7000 pound axles with the 18 inch commercial tires, heavy duty.

Tandem. Very few benefits for triples and many negatives, and I think they actually look stupid . . . :)

I am surprised Tash is thinkin so big. I do not recall him ever mentioning having a boat or wanting one that big.
From previous Tash posts, I bet he is getting it for around $1.37 a foot, LOL.

Always go bigger in 2 areas---HP and axels---I have a 30' boat that has a dry weight of 9100 lbs and I weighed it full of gas and crap--well over 10K.

Also depends on how often you use it --I use my trailer 2 times a year--in and out--no big deal--if you are an everyday user--buy ALL the HP and the RIGHT trailer---years down the road the little bit you may save won't even matter---good luck Steve
