i recently bought a 1998 sport 170 o/b that was manufactered in Columbia SC. can any one please tell me what the fuel tank capacity of this built in tank is?

What size is the engine? I have a 1996 sunbird spirit 170, it has a 20 gallon tank. I have the 1996 sunbird catalog, and it will probably be the same. Is it one of the Spirit models?

The Spirit 150 Outbd (upto 70hp) 14 gallon tank - bowrider
The Spirit 170 Outbd (88-130hp) 20 gallon tank - bowrider
The Corsair 190 Outbd (112-150hp) 30 gallon tank - bowrider
The Neptune 180 Outbd (88-115hp) 37 gallon tank - Center Console
The Neptune 181 Outbd (88-115hp) 37 gallon tank - Dual Console
The Neptune 200 Outbd (112-150hp) 64 gallon tank - Center Console
The Neptune 201 Outbd (112-150hp) 64 gallon tank - Dual Console
The Neptune 202 Outbd (112-150hp) 64 gallon tank - Walkaround
The Neptune 230 Outbd (175-225hp) 85 gallon tank - Walkaround

That is all the outbds they had that year, so hopefully you can find where your boat fits.
