Hey guys, i did my own s-corp/personal taxes for years then i got super busy with business and handed it to a tax man. Going to start filing it on my own going forward as I now have plenty of time.

My problem is my state no longer allows me to mail in my corporate income taxes so I am looking for a product that will allow me to e-file. Taxact will work but it's going to be close to $200 and the interface is kinda geared towards people who don't know what they are doing with a bunch of wizards. I would really like something where I can essentially just add the specific forms that I know I need, fill in the fields as they are denoted on the IRS forms and submit. Does this exist without paying obscene money for the type of software that an accountant would use?

The Admiral uses TurboTax to file our plethora of forms. Not sure $200 is all that obscene for having it spit out the proper forms.

Look around... you can find Turbo Tax Business for $110 or so. Been using it for the last 8-10 years.

Recommended to me by a trusted Corporate Tax Accountant, my daughter...lol

Yeah, it wouldn't be a bad deal if it weren't for the fact that I know the forms that need to be filled out. I used to be able to do this with a few hours of my time, an envelope, a stamp and a trip to the PO to register the envelope.. Oh well, times change i guess! Thanks for the Turbo Tax recommendation, I'm going to give it a trial as well!

Yeah, technically I could still do my federal corp taxes the old way. The issue is my state only accepts electronic filing, no snail mail. This means I have to go through an expensive third party (turbo tax or a competitor) who will only allow me to file my state taxes as an add-on to doing my federal taxes.

What State are you in?
Maryland is efile only as well. Everything is on the State website to file your taxes

Oklahoma. They do have a method to file your personal income taxes on their website but nothing for a corporation.
