TB4 ignition and weber 4bbl.. opinion?

looking at a 94 glastron ssv 199 cuddy cabin with a 4.3LX 180Hp with a weber 4bbl and TBV ignition and its a merc. alpha 1 drive... just wondering if the TB4 and Carb were good or bad.. just mainly wondering what peoples opions were.. like known faults or if the carb is easy to work on etc... any info is greatly appreciated!

Carbs don't come any easier to work on than the weber/edelbrock.

TBIV, set it and forget it.

Ditto, that combo is as about as good as it gets.

Agreed,.......

And,..... with the 4bbl. Carb,..... That's a 205hp motor...... I know, I've got 1........;)

Add a set of Vortec Heads,+ matching Intake you'll be around 220hp.........

hmm 205HP even better, add in paper says 180HP either way its works for me

Merc rated the ballance shaft engines with the 4bbl between 175 and 185.

Pre-ballance shaft and the later vortec engines were rated higher.
