Hello all,
Restored the teak wood on my boat yesterday. I bought this stuff at Lowe's yesterday - Minwax Helmsman.
Was about $12 a quart.
I sanded the teak steps and ski locker first with 220-240 grit paper...just hand sanded the steps and used an orbital hand sander on the locker boards. I used a rag and toothbrush to coat the steps, and brushed on the oil and wiped off the excess with a rag on the locker boards. I was pretty meticulous putting the locker back together - because the person who tried to fix it before me did a poor job. I could not find any teak at Home Depot or Lowe's - so I just got some 1" thick pressure treated stuff... turned out fine...
If you are looking to restore your teak - this is an awesome product!
The steps took maybe 5-10 minutes each.
