End of the first period 3-0 Team USA
Got to hand it to Germany, they are playing a good game, after getting pounded by Team Canada they are coming out and doing the best they can but they are out matched again.
Team USA as expected is taking the game to Germany, to be honest they look a little slow, some soft passes late in the period resulted in turnovers but never in their own zone, I look for that to get quickly fixed by Coach Housley.
USA started to skate late and had a few very good chances but Germany's Goaltender Cooper played very good towards the end, USA is testing his Lateral skills more each shift, which obviously could be a bad sign.
Germany is allowing USA to skate down between the dots and that has to stop, funny since as I type this EJ Hradek on tv says the very same thing LOL
All in all a very good period with very minor mistakes but I think the 2nd period will be much better.
