I looked in the stickies for this and did a search, I know I missed something. I have seen these type of repairs and they look horrible, Cracked and uneven, mis colored. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't mean the transom or under the water line. Holes where former owners had things mounted.

How big the holes are? Is the area they are in gelcoated or painted? Assuming that they are small screws holes and the area is gelcoated..

I would first fill them with marine filler. Let it cure and shrink and either reapply the same marine filler or use matched color gelcoat past for the final fill depends on how visible the area is and how want it to look . After the gel cures, sand it down using 180 or 220 sand paper and then wet sand it 600 and 800. buff and polish it

Thanks, The finishing work and gel coat I can do.
Marine filler, is that an epoxy resin? Is that a product I can buy?

Most of them are polyester based not epoxy. 3M makes excellent fillers. The one WoG posted a picture for (46004) is an excellent filler for above and below the water line repairs. 3M makes another filler (46018) for above water line repairs only.

I would recommend going with the 46004 as well just in case you get something below the water line in the future that needs to be taken care of.
