Re: Tecumseh 7.5hp outboard boat motor

That outboard was made by Eska for Sears. Parts are available from www.certifiedpartscorp.com, who bought all of Eska's parts when the company folded.

Call the number at the website with your Sears model number in hand, and the guy there will be able to tell you if he has the parts you need.

That said, I wouldn't spend much on your outboard. Its value, even running, is quite low, and you'll likely spend more on parts than the engine is worth. There are plenty of running 7.5 Ted Williams outboards out there for $100 or so.

At best, they're adequate, if noisy, shaky, and hard to keep in service. Any Johnson or Evinrude 6hp will run circles around them. Maybe even a 5hp.

I agree. i had a ted williams 7.5 and i spend a lot of time working on it. i got stuck every single time i went out on it. its so loud and shaky its embarrassing... save your money sell it if you can and get something else. just my 2 cents i bought a 2001 8hp johnson for 400 bucks and its so much faster and you can barley hear it at idle.
