I have recently acquired an interesting bike that has, I believe, a 2.5 hp boat motor attached to it (kind of like the old Whizzer bikes).
It has a metal tag on the motor that says Tecumseh. Above the name there is the number (1574 B). Below the name there is a larger number reading (7885832).
Does anyone know the company Tecumseh made this motor for. I was told it was an Elgin but the date is unknown.
I would like to get a oil/gas mix ratio as well. Saw one site suggesting 16:1.
So, I need the motor company in which it was made for, the date of the motor as well as the mix ratio of gas to oil. I thank you in advance. Steve
