ted williams 7.5 remote gas tank

i need to see a picture, or find a site that has the fittings/tank for a ted williams 7.5 hp, air cooled outboard....did they have presurized tanks?????<br /><br /><br />if this is any help, i can start the motor at full throttle, and it sputers, and when i unplug the fuel line from the tank, it revs right up...is this becuse i retro-fitted the tank...will it only work with the original/presurized tank??<br /><br /><br />if any one could help me out with this, it would be much appreciated...fishmonger.33

It's not a pressure tank. There is a small pump in the carb.Two things may be happening<br />when you unplug the tank.If the carb is flooding<br />then it would smooth out some as the gas is used up or it is normal for the engine to speed up momentarily just as it runs out of gas.More than likely your carb needs a rebuild.

You may be able to get a kit from Sears parts.<br />Your motor was built by Eska certified parts corp may have parts.It uses a Tecumseh power head you may find parts at a small engine shop.
