i have a 7.5 horse, cingle cly. air cooled out board by ted williams, couls somone tell me the proper plug for it, and the gap for it

thanks....fishomnger.33
I was told yesterday that the optimum plug for a Ted Williams 7.5 was a NGK 7355 Irridium plug that runs about ten bucks per plug and that the gap was .035/
My service manual indicates all Eska built motors 3 to 7.5 hp.1965 to 1985 use Champion J13Y or AC 45S.Only other reccomendation is RJ13Y for motors after 76.I believe these motors have electronic ignition.
While not indicated in my manual it is possible that the electronis ignition motors could be run at .035.
I'd have to see some hard evidence from Tecumseh,
who builds the power heads, before I would spend $10 for a plug.
