Hi all,I just joined this site (from Ontario, Canada) to receive some guidance for the upcoming repair I must do, The motor in question is a Sears Ted Williams(aka Eska) 9.9 H.P. 2 stroke,a couple of days ago I tried to run it(first time this season) and noticed the water stream that is supposed to shoot out from the water pump (or the "telltale?" )was more like steam than stream, I shut the motor off quickly and began searching for the cause, found out that the rubber impeller is the most likely culprit. so I ordered the impeller from ebay yesterday but before I throw parts at this motor I'd like to know if I'm on the right track ? I already cleaned out the water passage by blowing compressed air in the nozzle (where water should stream out) but that didn't do the trick, is there anything else I should look in to?
I have the owner's manual/ diagram for the gear housing assembly ,it doesn't look like a complicated repair.
Your help is appreciated
