Teleflex Mounting: Splashwell or Transom Mount?

Ahoy,<br /><br />Replacing old pulley/cable system in my 14' Starcraft Jet. Going to install the Safe-T system, but am looking for guidance on the stern mounting part of it.<br /><br />It looks like there's two ways to go: The splashwell mount, or the transom mount. <br /><br />What's the best way for me to go on this? Seems like almost anything would work; this is a pretty basic boat.<br /><br />Thanks as always - <br />Rick
