teleflex steering cables

1966 chrysler,style open/pleasure no model name on it any photos/ got steering /rotary,can't get full steering left and right. cable stand-off in splashwell,vertical,no room on transom to mnt.,cable crammed in corner of boat with lousy 90 turning radius ,thru splashwell wall to motor binding running uneven to motor mt. itself,can't steer,is cable to long? is cable mt. needed in wall of splashwell? any thoughts welcome thanx guys

better shot of the side the cable goes into motor, you need a Johnson steering link. this is a larger motor but they are the same set up. connects to cable, and center hole of motor.
