Hey bondo. Just saw your "logo" about grease.<br /><br />Funny we are talking about Teleflex on this post and having just put a new cable in mine I had several conversations with the factory folks. One thing they said was to not use grease on the console mechanism (not the rack to pinion gearing which does get a good dose of grease....metal to metal parts).<br /><br />The console shaft is steel but the "no feedback" retainer is nylon looking plastic. Seems there is something that goes haywire when grease is involved.....according to her.<br /><br />She said install it dry.<br /><br />So, since I had greased the heck out of everything trying to get mine to steer (finally replaced the cable and fixed the problem) I had to dismantle the console and clean everything up. Works fine now.<br /><br />Mark
