Teleflex System Check Tach

I have an '88 J225. Will the Teleflex System Check Tach work with this engine? I didn't see it on the Teleflex website. I understand the tach portion should, but what about the alarm side? It would be nice to see WHY the alarm is going off if it does. There are two on eBay now, but didn't want to waste the money.

System check should not work on that engine, unless you run wires from each sensor to tach and change the oil tank sensor.

I don't mind doing that. The oil tank sender won't work with the low oil and no oil lights? I've made up systems for I/O's and IB's but not for outboards. The system check just looked nice.

It just take 3 more wires, Look at wiring digram for late model, the System Check tach, different horn.

I'll look into that, thanks! Being able to look and see why the horn is going off would be nice.
