teleflex tachometer wiring

I have an earlier teleflex tach with four wires on the back. black,white,blue,orange can anyone tell me the correct hook ups for these wires

A picture would for sure help.......... But look real closely at the back of the tach each terminal should have atleast a letter next to it
should be I=ignition, G=ground, S=sender, L= light................ on some instead of S there will be a P for pulse, it's same thing different terminology.

BLACK is usually battery negative.
BLUE is usually gauge illumination.

there are no letters next to each wire. they come out of the back of the tach in a group

Well If I had to give you a educated guess and given what jhebert has said I would say

Black=neg
white = ign ( pos with key on )
blue = light
orange= sender/pulse

Why not ask Teleflex? They are still in business and usually have outstanding customer service.
