I have a 1978 mercury mariner 115 inline and there are thrre wires that come from the distributor and one is broken right at the dist. where they come out....Can you replace just the wires are should I start looking for a new distr...The same thing with my stator wire they are rotted and broken right at the flywheel...Is this motor worth putting money into or are they hard to get parts for???? Thanks

No matter what it will cost you less that buying a new/used good outboard

Some times you can luck out on ebay too.Search Craigslist for parts to.

you might just be able to dig into a little and soldier the wires?If that works put some epoxy on it so it doesn't break.
