Tell me what you think

Dealer offered to sell me either a 2008 90TLR or a 2009 115TLR $6400 and $8460 respectively, out the door with prop of my choice, controls, fuel tank. Which is the best? Pros and cons of each motor.

That three cyl. 90 TLR is in my mind one of Yamahas finest motors. But the 115 isn't bad either! Both would be a good choice.
In 1986 I bought my first new rig and it came with a 90TL on it. I ran that motor long and hard for ten years and finally sold the boat. ALL I ever did was basic service and maintenance. Lower unit oil every year along with an impeller. New plugs every other year. It always got flushed and I always ran the carbs dry. Nothing ever quit on it. I never touched the oil injection, carbs, electrical...nothing. Motor is held in very high esteem in my book! Good luck!
