My Tohatsu 3.5 4 stroke outboard is doing strange things.Today when I ran it in a barrel, no water was coming from the pee hole.I then remover the lower leg and checked all pipes and the impeller itself. All was in a good condition, so I assembled all back together and fired it up again.Only a little dribble from the pee hole.I then tried to clear the pee hole using a piece of wire.Funny thing was that when the wire was inserted deep into the peehole, a very strong flow developed, but when the wire was removed, only a weak stream came out.The engine is being cooled by sufficient flow from the pump, only a poor pee hole stream is the concern.
Has anyone had a similar problem like this.:

You have verified that the problem is an obstruction....Keep running the wire in and out while the engine is running. Eventually you will breakdown the sediment enough to pee itself out.

Yep. Or you could try gently applying compressed air while running in the tank. That will sometimes send the debris back out the water pump.

If that model has rubber pee hose connected to the engine body same as 2 strokes model, remove hose and with compressed air or thin wire run it upwards body, you will find the obstruction there. Those engines have very small pee holes, so a correct flushing after use is a must always do.
