Hello all,
I am planning on following the guidlines to putting a tell tale into a 1973 evinrude 135 hp. After reading through the post-posted on here by iwombat (which is a really good post) I am confused about the spot to drill into the crankcase. There is a good spot on the upper part of cylinder #1 to put it in the Side (like the post says). A little further on the post explains that, "running the hose from the tell-tale above the crankcase to prevent air bubbles."
Should I just tap into the Top of the crankcase for the tell-tale?
Or will it be good enough putting the tell-tale on the Side of the #1 cylinder?
What method is the most effective?
My other question is I tried to find those parts listed in iboats and a few of them didnt register in the search. Are the numbers outdated? Do I need to go to another site?
I appreciate any help,
thanks
