Hi,

Thinking about installing a temp gauge in the future for peace of mind, after I get my overheating issue resolved. I have a V4 1978 Johnson. Would I need two gauges since I have two banks to monitor? Should I mount the sensor under a head bolt? IF monitoring two banks could you use one gauge and two sensors via a switch?

Inquiring mind wants to know....

Thanks,

Kerry

theoretically you could use one two senders via one switch to one gauge. i tried that but the switch messed up the readings( ON-OFF-ON)... It had something to do with turning off one before connecting to the other... I got funky readings. BUT if you get the right style switch, it should work...I went ahead and installed two gauges in the end, i couldnt get a straight answer about my problems with the switch...

I did 2 Faria gauges and 2 FARIA temperature head senders mounted on HEAD COVER BOLTS. Make sure you get gauges for OUTBOARDS.
