Hi Yall. I have a 1996 150HP (V6 2.0L). Just bought it a couple weeks ago. I brought it in to a mechanic and it checked out fine. I did have to put on new fuel/temp/volt gauges. The water pump pumps great and the motor dosen't seem to be getting hot. The temp gauge is 0-280 and the t-stats are rated at 143, so when I'm running about 4000 rpm's , the gauge reads a little less than the middle. When I get up to 4900 or better the gauge go over the middle but never show extreme temp. When the gauge go's over the middle the under dash alarm starts to sound. Is this normal?

Re: Temp Alarm

Check the t-stats, may not be opening. Also,, how high are you trimming it?
