temp and oil alarm

have 98 fisher pontoon with 98 50hp big foot.when turning key to start engine the audial alarm test does not sound.have taken alarm out and tested it and it works,alarm is under dash.how do i find problem

It should get power from the ignition switch, check that. Is your motor EFI or carbed? Serial number would be handy to check wiring.
