temp hub fix?

Hi all,

Is it possible to put a temporary fix on a stripped prop hub on the water just to get the vessel in? In my case 1975 15 johnson.

Depends on how desperate you are. I spun the hub on my prop and, while waiting for a replacement, I 'locked' the hub with three stainless steel screws. I'm sure its not recommended (and could cause and awful lot of expensive damage to my leg it I hit a solid object) but, as a emergency repair it worked.
I wouldn't suggest this as a long term remedy, but only as an emergency repair.
