I have a 1998 1800 pro-v with a 2000 125 mercury.
question is when i turn key on I get no beep on the oil/temp warning beeper for a test mode.
If I ground the tan/blue wire at the motor with the key turned on I get a beep at the console !
My question is : should I get a beep for a test mode when the key is turned on for a few seconds ?
I had never heard it beep until I did the test at the motor.
I have had no problems with it but am wondering if it does funtion like it should when the time for it to work comes along.
