CONFIRMED THAT I HAVE A CORROSION HOLE IN THE TOP OF MY TRANSOM HOUSING BEHIND THE EMBLEM JUST BELOW THE TOP GREASE ZERK.CLEANED IT UP PRETTY GOOD AND CAN SEE STEERING PIN.I AM UNDECIDED TO EITHER CUT A PIECE OF ALUMINUM TO THE SHAPE OF THE EMBLEM AND 5200 IT OVER THE HOLE OR JB WELD OVER THE HOLE WITH PLACING SOME PLASTIC WINDOW SCREEN MATERIAL IN THE HOLE SO THE JB HAS SOMETHING TO HOLD ON TO.IF JB ,WILL HAVE TO USE THE QUICK SET SINCE REGULAR JB SAGS TOO MUCH AND FOR TOO LONG.WILL BE SEARCHING OUT THE CORROSION SOURCE AND SEARCHING OUT A NICE FRESH WATER USED ALPHS 1 TRANSOM ASSEMBLY FOR NEXT SEASON.PRETTY CERTAIN EITHER WAY WILL SUFFICE FOR THE SEASON .CHARLIE

I would go with an aluminum plate, with a gasket myself, Preferably bolted on. My concern with the jb, even though if installed properly, might blow out for some reason.
And please turn off your caps lock. It looks like you are shouting at us. For me it actually makes it harder to read,

5200 is not considered a temporary adhesive. Not suitable for temporary anything.

Ayuh,..... It Caulking, not a Glue,....

I'd go with epoxy, a patch, 'n screws or rivets myself,...
