I recently picked up a Teleflex Temp kit on Ebay which consists of surface mounted temp sensor, wiring and gauge, but there are no instructions.<br />I am assuming the sensor bolts to the cylinder head, but I was wondering if it makes a difference where on the head it is mounted - i.e. is any one cylinder on this engine more critical than the others when it comes to cooling - both for fuel and the cooling water? Thanks.

We usually put it near the temp sender in the head. If you have the 49 cid 3 cyl there are many 1/4" bolts to use. If you have the 56 cid motor there is a threaded hole for the sender.
