Folks:
I have two issues that I hope you can provide your thoughts on.
I have a 1996 17' Horizon with a Volvo Penta 4.3, 190 hp. I/O
Temperature Gauge - the gauge does moves very little if at all. After pulling a skier I will notice it moving a little but them goes back to the far left. I did replace the thermostat at the beginning of the year. Could it be the temperature sender unit that is defective?? I have ordered a replacement which I plan to install this weekend
Tilt Gauge - does not work at all. Before it quit working it was working irratically. The stern drive does tilt without any issues. I did disconnect the tilt sender unit and was able to see the resistance change as I manually turned the unit. I also spend the better part of a morning checking the wiring to confirm that there is continuity from front to back. Not sure what is left except the actual gauge itself.
Other than that the boat runs exceptionally well with no other issues so I would appreciate the benefit of your experience in resolving these two issues.
Thanks very much.
