temperature gages

I am thinking about adding a temperature gage to my boat and was wondering it it would have to be impedance matched like a fuel gage.

see if this thread helps. says the sender has to match plus gives you the ohms so you can test yours

I apreciate that glen. I thought thats how it worked but wasnt sure, and I havnt got a gage or a sending unit yet this is one of my winter projects.
