Temperature gauge reading LOW at full throttle !

My temp is generally pointing at 175? when the engine is warm. Last year I put the lower unit into the sand to keep the boat rear end from swinging (bad idea, I know). Since then the boat is running a little sluggish and the temp gauge never goes above 125?. Is it that sand is blocking something and what is the fix ?

Have a look at your thermostat, it may be sticking open.

If you had sand plugging up the intake ports, you would have an overheat, not a too cold problem.

Thrillz, did you ever resolve this issue. I have exact same problem after running through sand in my 2004 Bayliner last week. Temp stuck at bottom and engine running poor. Thanks
