Temperture gage not working

Can someone tell me if my temperature gauge is not working if it stays up all the way? Or could it be my temperature sensors? It stays like this with the ignition on or off. Even with the battery disconnected, it stays like this

Hi -- its sounds like your gauge is stuck or damaged ( assuming no voltage present as you described )


Other than verifying no power is present with a multi meter etc it would seem you need a new one.

I am assuming your config is the same as the older boats I am most familiar with // If you can list the year and engine type the experts may have more to add.

Its your guage if you have the battery disconnected.

Do you mean the power and ground at the gauge? What voltage should I have at the gauge wires?

Yes, at the gauge, you should see battery voltage...
