I have a 1996 Tempest 152 15' bowrider. Purchased it used. Does anyone know the dry weight of this boat. Perhaps there is a manual for it? I was going to weigh it on my bathroom scales, but had difficulty getting the boat around the toilet!

Re: Tempest weight?

Tempest are made in the Toronto area but they have really scaled down production since the late eighties. I was seriously looking at a 2003 model 175 just recently but we ended up going with a Cutter which are built by Grew in Owen Sound Ontario. There is no web site for Tempest but if you really want to contact the owner the only place I know of that is actively selling their boats is a place called Doral Marine at Innisfil, they may be able to put you in touch with them. Here is their web site, click on specials to see the Tempest they are selling Doral Marine

Re: Tempest weight?

Thanks Bob. I was looking at a Grew myself and it was a really nice boat, but out of my price range. Will follow up on your lead - the boat was origionally purchased in Toronto.

Don't look for too much help. I talked to the president of the company directly and he didn't seem much interested in giving me any of the answers I was looking for.
