I am restoring a 24' Fiberform "cabin cruiser" and have come up with a fuel tank question. Boat had a 75 gal. Tempo plastic tank installed in front of the sliding door which pretty much blocked access ( 16 inch step into the cabin sole ). I removed it and will install a 51 gal. Tempo plastic tank that will fit between the stringers. My problem is that the tank I obtained does not have the fill assembly installed. This was a combination fill / vent / gauge thingy that is attached to the tank with 6 screws. I cannot find a replacement anywhere. Any ideas?

Six screws is usually the fuel tank gauge sender. The fill hoses are usually molded onto plastic tanks, in my experience.

I don't think I can post pics yet and I believe all gauge senders are in fact five hole. The older Tempo did not have molded-in fill and vent connections ( thankfully ), but combined the three (fill / vent / gauge) in one assembly that could be rotated in any direction to facilitate connection to your deck fill. Best design ever in my opinion. Unfortunately Tempo either quit the permanent tank business or got swallowed up by Moeller. I'm actually not sure which.

Anyway, I will most likely fabricate my own replacement assembly but I was hoping someone knew where to get replacements. Surely Tempo realized that at some point a connection would get damaged or corroded or a sender would need replacement.

Thank you for your responses and enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving Holiday!

You should be able to post pics, AQ. Click on the Forum Help link in the sig below and look the tutorial for adding photos.

you need to reduce the pic size to about 25% of what your camera takes. email the pics to yourself which will automatically reduce the size. they need to be about 400kb, not 2MB in size

Okey Dokey, I think that worked. Thank you very much. As you can see, this assembly also has a tapped blank for the fuel draw in addition to fill / vent / gauge. Very neat thingy the Tempo did.

I think I saw something like that, just can't remember where at the moment.
